Job Summary
As a Product Development Engineer at Vulcan Industries, you will play a key role in designing innovative retail Point of Purchase (POP) displays that shape consumer experiences. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform concepts into manufacturable solutions, using Pro-E (CREO) to refine designs, generate engineering drawings, and support rapid prototyping. Your work will directly influence production efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and product quality.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in design for manufacturability (preferably with sheet metal, tube, and wire).
- Proficiency in CAD software (Pro-E/CREO preferred) for modeling and drawing development.
- Experience with wood and plastic design is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments.
- Ability to work effectively in both office and shop environments.
Essential Job Function
- Operate and maintain design software systems to produce accurate models and specifications.
- Develop detailed engineering prints and BOMs to support production.
- Communicate effectively with sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure alignment.
- Maintain punctuality and reliability in daily work attendance.
